Even though it's only Tuesday, the studio is open today. I have several people needing to pick up some last minute gifts, which works out well since I'll be here all day while the cable company re-wires our cable system. I have been having problems with our phone line and Internet connection.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. It's a time for Liberty festivals, crisp cool orange mornings, as the trees begin to show their colorful foliage. I begin to hear the school band practicing down the street for the homecoming parade. I get to dig out my boots and jackets and hats as I switch to warmer clothing. I begin to think about baking muffins and chowders rather than salads and pasta. Yes, Fall is a transition that I enjoy each and every time it rolls around.
I'm gearing up for a great Bittersweet Fall. I'm making more Pinnie's, as I think they will make a wonderful Christmas gift. I'm making scores of heat pillows, as I can never have enough on hand once the season gets started, and lot's of little bags. I love little bags!
I don't really get to carried away on Fall decorating in the Saturday Studio. The season is so short, I move right into Christmas. My customers are anxiously awaiting the holiday soaps and Christmas gifty items, and it takes a considerable amount of time making everything in preparation for my busiest time of year.
There you have it... Bittersweet Bliss.... I count my blessings every day!
Enjoy caring and sharing summer days.
