Today is the last day of school. Oh how I love Summer! My routine changes from early mornings to late nights, and later mornings. I enjoy the mix up, and change in schedule. By the time school starts back, I'm ready to begin the early routine once again.
When Patrick leaves for college in a few years, I'll have to meet in between somewhere, so that I will have balance and discipline.
I have fond memories of my last days of school. I couldn't wait until Summer when I was a kid! Summer back then meant, staying up late watching my favorite TV shows, hanging out with friends, and having sleep overs every chance I had. I would walk to the pool every day, and swim until dinner!
Oh the life of a small town middle class kid sure was grand!
Funny too, I can feel Patrick's last day excitement, just as I did when I was a kid. Some things never change, and I'm glad they don't!
Well, I have been busy Lizzie! I'm working on packing orders, and I believe I have decided on packaging for the new Summer soap, Lemon Verbena, which by the way, smell so fresh, and reminds me of Summer every time I sniff it. Lemon Verbena in reality is not lemon in color at all, but when you have a soap which includes the word lemon, I can't help but think yellow!
What do you think? Do you like it? It's a Martha paper I picked up on clearance several months ago. Martha must love paper too!
I am a paper loving girl! I guess if I didn't wrap so much soap, I would most likely be a paper artist of some sort, cause of my obsession/passion for pretty papers, and I just can't seem to ever have enough around the studio.
Luckily, I usually have hundreds of bars of soap that are in need of pretty paper, so that I'm fulfilling my yearning to cut and paste.
Those pretty creamy white blossoms are from my Mock Orange Tree that grows on the South side of our sweet home. It's an old fashioned bush, that fills the air with a soft sweet delicate aroma. If you're looking for a fragrant June blooming shrub, look no further than, Mr. Mock Orange. He aims to please!
Off to work I go...
Enjoy caring and sharing Spring Days.
