I have always been utterly amazed on how a little bit of paint can transform a piece of furniture.
I don't know if you remember or not seeing pictures of this little dresser that sits in the studio. It used to be sunflower yellow and now looky, it's a soft shade of pink. I mixed for awhile before I came up with this pale pink tone, lot's of cream mixed with a much stronger shade of pink. Now she's appropriately dressed for Valentine's Day!
Today is my elderly neighbors birthday. She is turning 93! We have lived in our home for almost twenty years. When we first moved here almost all of our neighbors were much older. Most have passed except for a few and I'm saddened to see them go. They have been extraordinary neighbors!
I have pictures of several of my neighbors holding Patrick when he was a brand new baby just a couple of days old. Each neighbor offered a loving touch as they swaddled Patrick in their arms.
My neighbor resides in a really cool house. You might remember, I took a winter shot of it a couple of years ago. The house is stunning, an older home that stands stately and grand and then there's a carriage house that sits in back. There is a large amount of land that is sits on and Mrs. P. harvested her flower bed to perfection throughout the years so the landscape is stunning. She has Bittersweet growing along side her fence row and in the Spring blossoms pop everywhere adding a beautiful backdrop to the classic gray estate.
Enjoy a caring and sharing winter day.
Happily,
Jill 00 (Two hugs are better than one)
