The soap display rack is no longer depleted. The working part of the studio is housing freshly cut bars of "Country Fair" bricks.
Soon the other tables will be stacked with even more soldier soaps. My favorite soap thing to do by the way, well one of them, cutting the bars and carefully placing them on the tables to saponify, cure. Remember, I always have to be around 6 weeks ahead on soap making. Allowing the soap to cure properly is one of the most important components when making soap using the cold process method. The same method that's been used since Egyptian days by the way.
I'm excited to bring another addition to the Bittersweet spring line, French Basket. Working on packaging, although I believe the soap wrapping idees I'm having will fit the French inspired savon.
Have to mention last nights Downton Abbey. Wasn't it grand when Mary and Mathew finally united? Love it!
Picking up the new "soap boxes" left at a couple of businesses tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Anytime I start something new like this expectations are high, but my experience has shown me to expect the unexpected, meaning, not always good. Having said that, this is a test. Issues will occur and will need to be addressed, but really a final run and executing the idee into action is the only way to test and analyze a new concept.
With the price of gas going up to all time record highs once again, it's coming... I feel a traveling soap box is an ideal way to shop in the future.
Enjoy caring and sharing days.
Warmly,
Jill 00 (two hugs are better than one)
