The soap shop on water street is taking its que from summer. Shades of white greet the eye and scents of lemon tickle the nose. Brown paper wrappings and summer skin oils and tinctures surround hand cut bars of soaps in a variety of flavors. Chunky Garden mint savon flavored with spearmint powder seems to fit perfectly with the season. As does, lemon verbena and lemon creme, both making their debut next in July. Invigorating Eucalyptus arriving also. Herb garden savon and pink grapefruit and lavender following. Hints of Autumn hues will begin to appear after the summer medley. The white and sea foam green blooms will be replaced with auburn tones. The summer arrives ever so quickly, and then before you know, it falls behind.
For now, I'll take in summers bounty. Her sunflower sun and rich earthy smells. The blooming glory of it all.
Then and now I begin to ponder...since I'm an apothecary girl, soap flavors and new formulations.
The summer phlox and bee balm is beginning to bloom. They always arrives on time. I'm not sure how they do that. Isn't it grand?
Enjoy caring and sharing summer days.
