You may recall a post about the Memorial day picnic. Do you? I'll refresh in case you missed it!
On Memorial Sunday we hosted an old fashioned picnic to be on our back porch. The traditional picnic was to be served with, what else, fried chicken! Our back porch is right off our kitchen. As I was frying up that chicken I gazed outside onto the porch through the screen door. The screen door was covered with flies! Hundreds of flies. Honestly, I've never seen that many flies in one place! Are you envisioning it? I ran downstairs to my studio and grabbed a bottle of peppermint essential oil. I dabbed the pure, raw, oil onto the railings, porch screen. I was amazed on what I saw. Or should I say, what I didn't see. Not one fly and within seconds after the peppermint essential oil treatment. I'm calling it a treatment, because it treated away those pesky flies.
Now some of you already know how I feel about claim making in reference to essential oils. In other words, I'm not an advocate for claiming that essential oils cure this or heal this. I also never suggest folks rub or apply pure concentrated oils on their body. I still will never condone that! I won't go into the logistics, let me just say, have you ever had the food and drug administration knock on your door? I have not, nor do I wish to! While I'm on that topic... Please, please if you're thinking of creating a product DON'T name it similar to a big brand name. I do have experience with that! Moving on...
There are instances and through my experience as an alchemist for the past nineteen years that cause me to reverse some of the earlier thoughts. Most importantly. I can shout from the roof my personal experiences. You can do that! I'm from Missouri, "Show Me!" Simply put, I need proof that what you're claiming, really works! Usually I require scientific proof, but actual real time demonstration proof is also adequate and with my keeping.
Yes, that is a bug spray picture you see and it does contain Peppermint!
