Kraft, & Black and White, I love you!
This alchemist has been working on a series of branding and logo design.
I'm often asked the question, "how do you start designing logo's or packaging?" Typically, the mood must strike you, just as it does for most creations.
Sometimes I'm not in the mood, and I can always tell when that is. I don't even try.
It's so funny, over the years of creating and making over one-hundred Artisan items, not including hand made soap, I have moods for making things and creating.
I bet you do too!
As time slips by, you learn to recognize these things. Go with it. Don't fight it. The best is yet to come, but only when you're ready.
Like I said before, and seriously I don't think you could ever go wrong choosing tan, black and white. Even though you're in neutral land, your also in a gender friendly community.
I believe it will be a long time before this look is dated.
A splash of garden color! I love cone flowers too. It takes a couple years for the plant to kick in, but once it does it goes crazy, and you'll have Echinacea popping up everywhere. How can that be wrong? If it is, I don't want to right!
I wish I'd taken a picture of my abundant hydrangea bushes!
No worries, once I begin picking the blooms, I'll capture their radiant beauty. I'll also be offering the dried blooms at the apothecary shop. It will be awhile before they're ready. They bloom and then begin to turn hard and green. That's when you cut the stem for drying. I've chatted about this before on hydrangea posts. You can probably do a search in the search box for hydrangea and it should magically appear.
Here's some hydrangea pictures from summer's past.
Soap of course, included in the photo's!
The shop just got these amazing butterfly prints in this week. I'm in butterfly awe!
On the home front, we've been eating lots of salads. Green one's and fruity too.
My 92 year old friend Evalyn shared her version of Frog Salad. It's in my cookbook!
I found the recipe on line too.
Omit the coconut. Her recipe did not include coconut and I use corn starch instead of flour for the thickening agent. The marshmallows are kind of strange too, but don't leave them out. I did probably reduce the number of them.
Summer is here!
We've got this event planned on Summer Solstice. I have the entire day booked on the porch! Even a five piece band is coming.
Crawford House is also excited to have new tenants.
This company is moving in on our garden level and next to them a new frozen yogurt shop.
My son Patrick is opening the frozen yogurt shop!
Shall be a memorable summer and I'm looking forward to the growth of all businesses.
If you're in the area, drop by and check it all out!
Remember to treat other's the way you wish to be treated.
