Now when you come to stock up on olive oil soap, and ultra lush skin care you can travel downstairs and get your jewelry fix at Nickel & Suede.
The new shop is located below bittersweet apothecary.
Every now and then we experience issues with packaging. Case in point. Our dry oil bottles seemed to have major flaws. I found out the sprayer sticks and you have to continually pull it up each time you want a squirt of dry oil. Major Pain! The bottle above is a different type, and hopefully the new packaging source will live up to our expectations. These things happen. Since I switched to a bottle that doesn't stick, I also changed the labeling. The process of changing labels will be work in progress as I continue to ease into the other skin care and toiletry labels. Looking for a cohesive look, and a certain branding. The label above captures the look I'm trying to achieve.
If you don't like the way something looks, change it!
I'm in love with these powdery soft preserved roses! They're a great tool to have around especially for photo opts. I'm also really into wood. I guess I've always been fond of natural wood, but lately even more so than usual.
Now showing at the hand made shop... A variety of these hand stitched coin purses. They're lined and kind of artsy, and I love making them. I construct them on my 1921 Singer that resides at the shop. A buzz of stitches on both sides. One for lining and other for outer shell. Attach the frame with hand stitching using full strength embroidery yarn for extra strength.
Soap Boxes kind of shine in the backdrop. You may recall the story behind the soap boxes. If not, type soap box in the search box on the right side bar. The detailed story should appear.
New Lavender Stick labels too! Are you seeing a pattern? Good...
Roots are good... Especially when they're four generation soap making roots.
I'm an herb smasher! In the mortar and pestle, chamomile and patchouli.
Some things touch you deep in your soul. Mortar & Pestle are the perfect tool to help acquire those soulful feelings. The crunching of the herbs and their aromatic perfume lift your spirit.
Remember to treat other's the way you wish to be treated.
