It's the little things that make your life wondrous. My new favorite word, Wondrous!
A pat on the back for doing a good job. Two hugs instead of one. A lip to lip kiss from a child. I had one yesterday and that inspired me to chat about it. A puppy dog that stands up on its hind legs so that you can rub her tummy. Sticking freshly picked cut flowers in a new vase or even an old one that your mom used when you were a kid. Ravioli Soup, because that's what I'm fixing for dinner. A tiny piece of dark chocolate after a long hard day. Opening the window, simply so that you can hear the crickets and the rain as it falls upon the ground. Remembering how to make paper boats, hats, and fortune tellers. I never want to forget how to make paper boats! A friend dropping by your shop to say hello. Feeling good, and pondering thoughts of a happy fall.
I've been packing up the new Autumn Apothecary to take to the soap shop on water street. New packaging ideas floating, but not quite ready to create new prototypes. I'm feeling it though.
A new Autumn Room Spray that smells amazing. It's called Cranberry Fig. Seldom, very seldom does this fastidious nose admire a fragrance like this. After being in the business for almost twenty years, I've probably really been charmed by a handful. Isn't that something! When I go to the perfume counter, I can easily sniff hundreds and maybe, just maybe, find one that meets my snobby perfume nose. I also have a keen sense of smell. Although I do believe it's not as good as it used to be.
Lately, I've been attracted to paisley designs. I guess I've always like the pattern, but lately it seems I'm drawn to it more. Why is that?
My taste is changing almost daily. Less is more, and more is too much. Do you ever feel that?
I'm anxious to drive out to the country to pick out some yellow and auburn mums.
This is what are patio looked like a few years ago. The mum farm is an amazing place! I never met a mum I didn't like! Ha!!
September marks the month for festivals, concerts, and parades. All of which will be taken in bit by bit. Style shows and ponchos, tall boots and short ones.
I'm thinking fall is my favorite season of all. Although I love them each.
Peace to you.
