Without fail, it always happens this time of year. My thoughts are surrounded with flowers. Flower Soap, and designs, clothing, wrapped up in pretty colorful, sometime neutral flowers.
New White Flower Line starts with soap, and then quickly marries with other Bittersweets. I'm pondering, room spray, dry oil, and possibly a rich body butter crème.
That image however, is the beginning. The prototype. This is how it all starts. I'm even creating a display at the shop with this motif. I have some plump white wood flowers. that will fit in perfect. Have I mentioned how bewitched I've been lately with wood flowers? I shared a link a few posts ago.
When attempting to re-order this little dried flower, I was amazed to find it's no longer available. It's on the protected species list. Now the few bundles I have are even more precious. I remember as a kid having these tiny star flowers in little vases in my bedroom. They were kind of the rage in the seventies. Now they're on a protected list. Makes me sad to know we can no longer admire their beauty.
In my opinion, the perfect bundle of everlasting. I generally leaned towards the natural hued bundles, but they were available in a variety of colors.
What's that saying?
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

Fair well my flower friend.
Moving on, kind of...
Spring has more than half way sprung here in Missouri.
It's strange, but I won't say that I'm not liking it.
The sun is shining and it's warm and everyone is happy.
The latter is pleasant.
I've been creating a series of new labeling for products.
New Cleansing Cloths available in Pure Lavender and Pink Grapefruit. Alcohol Free Cleansing Cloths. Six months of testing on this product, and finally, it came together.
I'm somewhat of an instant gratification girl, so it was a challenge for me to wait that long.
Spring and Summer Weddings around the spring corner.
Bittersweet has always offered unique custom packaging and designs catered to that special day, but now we're expanding our horizon and offering even more stunning artisan creations.
I'm one of those happy people walking around, thinking to myself, how very lucky and blessed I am to live what I love.
I had a man come in the shop this past weekend suggesting I should francize Bittersweet. My passion has always been to create. I have no desire to offer my handmade items to other shops, or share my passion to strangers. It's a personal preference I've always felt strongly about. My little apothecary business is expanding in ways I would have never imagined, and it feels perfect just the way it is. I love meeting new customers, and being in my little soap shop.
Can you imagine teaching a person how to make over one-hundred things? That sounds boring to me.
I'll stick with the plan in hand.
Feeling Gratitude for each day.
