Even when I was a young girl I was drawn to herbs in glass jars. They carried a certain mystique.
Now that I'm grown up they continue to enchant me.
The studio is stocked with glass jars filled with herbs of all sorts.
Peppermint, sandalwood powder, lemon grass, chamomile, patchouli, shave grass, calendula, lavender, rosemary, orris root are but a few of the herbs I keep on hand at all times.
They are used to make a variety of Bittersweets.
For example, Bittersweet French clay mask contains calendula petals. The petals are beneficial in healing of the skin as well as nourishing to sensitive skin.
Pondering those herb thoughts make me happy.
I believe each one of Gods creations were intended to serve as a specific purpose.
It seems as though I've always felt that way. In fact, naturally speaking, the biggest part of my attraction to herbs stems from those exact thoughts. No pun intended.
The holiday herbs are beginning to make their debut. Star Anise, cloves and cinnamon will soon fill some of the jars. My favorite warm scents of the holidays.
I can't imagine my life without them!
Enjoy caring and sharing days.
Warmly,
Jill 00 (two hugs are better than one)
