The little purple aster mums are my favorite this time of year. We have a mum farm just outside of town and they grow the prettiest hardiest mums in the world. They also harvest pumpkins and gourds and offer a variety of fall seasonal items.
Clarice is coming in later today! I have an evening of dining on K.C. barbecue planned, what else. You really can't come to Kansas City and not have some of our delicious barbecue. Well I guess you could, but you would really be missing out! A request by my guest and a obligation for the host, I believe, that rich tangy but kind of sweet sauce that we're famous for!
The days are beginning to cool down and the evenings are crisp. Perfect conditions for sitting outside with a cup of warm cider and a wool blanket under a harvest moon. The perfect amount of fall yin and yang.
