Star flowers, round tables, hydrangea blooms and soaps dressed in summer wraps. I purchased that round table from the vintage boutique. Most of you know how I love round table. She will take the place of the chippy old wood table that sits in the center of the room.
The long piece under the chalk board wall you may recall the story. I picked her up at our local builders recycle Habitat for Humanity for twenty bucks. It didn't have legs. Found the legs there too. Needed it to be counter top height. Don't you love it when a building plan falls together like you imagined it to?
I am working on some new clothing patterns. Which means I'm making some new items for the shop. Experimenting with linen of different sorts and some cotton prints that resemble vintage. We have a near by fabric store that's going out of business. I picked up a couple of bolts at a discounted price. Kind of the way you have to do it nowadays when you whip up so many things. Having said that, the fabric is of good quality. I don't believe in skimping when it comes to that. I'm leaning towards Irish linen. The weight and texture is perfect and easy to sew with. I've been disappointed in the quality of linen purchased at the fabric shops.
I'm also working on handmade clothing labels. The labels are being sewn inside each garment. Care instructions are included on the labels.
I'm looking for the perfect colored summer yellow to package the lemon soaps. Crazy, just crazy how fastidious I can be when it comes to picking out a color.
Two favorite new words too. Clear labels. I'll be making the upgrade one jar at a time. The labels are waterproof too!
Love that rosy fabric! It's from my stash.
I'm as busy as a bee! I wonder where that phrase came from?
If you know of a good quality United States Irish linen supplier can you please forward the information. Bittersweet is interested in purchasing bolts of the fine cloth.
Enjoy caring and sharing days.
Warmly,
