The peonies are blooming! My garden is filled with pink and fuchsia colored peonies. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to pick an early morning bouquet for both my home and the shop. When Elle and I walk through the neighborhood their perfume gently scents the air and every once in awhile I take a deep breath and say out loud, ahhhh. I ask Elle if she smells the peonies and she turns and stares at me like she understands my question.
What is it about white and brown that always draws me in and keeps me coming back? Working on new packaging but somehow I feel as though my packaging thoughts are going back in time. Not a bad thing to repeat packaging. After all I fancied it once before. Some modifications and I believe we're getting closer. I do love the white and brown or some of you refer to it as kraft.
The big gussied up wood letters! I spotted them at Hobby Lobby the other day. They're kind of cool. I wanted to spell ALCHEMY, but they didn't have any A for Alchemy!
I had a magic moment while in Hobby Lobby. There was a lady standing behind me in line with a bundle of those fake plastic flowers. Without any hesitation and almost as though I was guided I asked the clerk if I could pay for this ladies plastic flowers. The lady without knowing that I had paid said she was going to write a check for the flowers. I turned to her and said, no worries, I bought them for you and told her it was be kind to stranger day. The clerk replied, there are no strangers in Hobby Lobby! If that wasn't cool enough I grabbed by purchases and was on my way when the lady that I purchased the plastic flowers for stopped me and said, "do you know what I'm going to do with those flowers?" I replied no... She said, "I'm going to place them on my daughters grave. She died of cancer at the age of fifty six. Then she proceeded to tell me her grand daughter suffers from a severe form of cerebral palsy and was in a assisted living facility. Needless to say, I had tears in my eyes after she told me this. I replied, God Bless you ma'm and have a great day. She told me she was ninety-two but honestly didn't look a day over seventy! I wonder what her skin care regimen is? My thing, you know. It is well with my soul.
These are cooling. I'm not sure why I've been craving oats and grain but I am. I'm fond of the nuts and chocolate and raisins together. I sampled a warm piece, yummy! Thought they would be good to snack on at the shop.
Enjoy caring and sharing days.
Warmly,
