Cotton Bouquets, dresses made from linen, Swiss dots, vintage trims, botanical prints, baubles, Cameo's, and brown paper wrappings. Some of my favorite things and reflected by a once over with the eye's @ the apothecary shoppe.
We have a darling part time pop-up boutique that moved in over the weekend. The owner, Kala offers a variety of adorable scarfs and clothing items. Her boutique is named, The Breezy Room. Love the name and enjoyed chatting with Kala. Our conversation consisted of shop talk and included in the topic was what I just mentioned. When you choose inventory to stock your boutique shelves, simply choose the items you love. You're not the only one that prefers Swiss dots and linen.
Stay true to your heart with your choices. It's easy to get thrown off track with the oodles of Internet sites, designs, etc. You can also become overwhelmed with the pictures. Just imagine sitting for several hours looking at magazines. So many different styles, shapes, ideas, designs. You pluck your favorites and tuck them away in the back of your mind. Possibly, cut out the picture so that you won't forget. My friend Julie does that. She goes one step further and creates a favorite design scrapbook. Not a bad idea if you're pondering what style you prefer. After you've built the design book you will easily see which style appeals to you most. Stick with that one. Your tastes change. At least mine do. I'm in awe when I stop to think about the different styles that once attracted me, now do nothing.
That's the how design works. After all, if your sense of style never evolved, you would more than likely get bored.
