I'm working in the studio today and in between cutting, clearing and combing through, which by the way when your home acts as a manufacturing plant as well as a abode clearing especially is a common, constant chore. How about a bouquet of peonies and mock orange. Are you familiar with mock orange plant? It's an old fashioned tree like bush that produces orange blossom looking blooms and has a perfume almost as desirable as a peony. The two blooming botanical together, well I would imagine heaven might smell like this!
It's a bright and sunny day that's ushered in mild almost fall like temperatures. A perfect day in Missouri!
I was digging through my manufacturing supplies, some of which needed to be tossed and I came across an old answering machine that was my moms when she was alive. Do you remember the little cassette tapes in those machines? I stopped what I was doing and re-winded the tape. The answering machine had captured both my mom and I chatting about decorating. I make the comment about how our conversation was being taped. I recall setting the phone machine aside after mom passed knowing I would love to hear her soft voice. A blessing, and soulful moment while I listened. Many thoughts ran through my mind during the time I was listening to the audio of my mom. I would imagine I will play it back and listen again some day.
A thought that stood out... It's nice to have audio of a loved one's voice after they pass. It really is.
One of my favorite flowers, allyssum. An interesting web site.
The little seedlings I planted are sprouting and growing. Soon my garden will be filled with bumble bee's and butterflies.
You can almost tell from the blue sky pictures what a glorious day it is!
After a walk through I notice the nasturtiums have sprouted! It's colorful orange and red edible blooms will enhance a summer salad. I always start the plant from seed and sow them directly in the ground.
The anticipation of hydrangea's and zinnia's will wrap me in a flower mood.
Enjoy caring and sharing days.
With all good wishes,
