Picking up where I left off... We closed the apothecary shoppe on Saturday and I piddled about and prepared for Sunday's picnic dinner. I feel blessed to have this little covered porch off our kitchen. A few years ago Lennis extended the porch and built an uncovered deck. We call it our tree house porch since the top of the cedars and red buds are eye level. I prepared an old fashioned Grandma Lola Memorial day dinner. Fried chicken, potatoes and cream gravy, fresh snapped green beans simmered with broth and onion, bacon, sweet corn, cinnamon buns, and chocolate mousse. Beer too! All is well!
Jules and I are taking a little road trip to this place. Feeling blessed to have a fine array of hang out spots a hop skip and jump from home. Next road trip, this place and then this one. I'll of course, share my experience here!
I've been clearing the soap studio. Lennis put together some heavy duty shelving so that I can keep the shipping and receiving department organized. The manufacturing plant too. Have I told you how crazy it sometimes gets when you operate a business from your home? Oh yes, I know I have! One must evaluate the space on a regular basis otherwise crazy turns into unproductive and that transforms into wasted time, money, and that turns into. Okay, I'll drop it!
Enjoy a caring and sharing summer.
With all good wishes,
