Chamomile is such a yummy herb! The sweet smelling herb is a staple at the apothecary shop, and one of my favorite herbs. Just one little sniff, and I begin dreaming of springs arrival.
Happy Love Local and a picture of my great grandmother Lucy propped atop.
Soul fulfilling, and so fulfilling every time I glance up at that picture and those words.
Frankincense and Myrrh Soap. It's a popular soap at the shop. The soap cabinets are beginning to be filled with bars, after being emptied during the holidays. Several new scents will be introduced, and plans for a February Scent of the Month is being tossed around. Looking closely at White Flower, and feeling the name alone will help induce a pleasant mood.
Our frozen tundra is beginning to thaw, and I'm hoping for an early spring, as are most that reside in Liberty.
It's kind of fun dressing the forms. Love mixing white with darker colors, and a touch of earthy jewelry pieces complete a certain look. I've been searching for mannequins, and wouldn't you know, the one's I really like are import pieces. This one comes in second on my wish list. I really like the bendable arms, and fingers.
The have a sturdy base and I just like the way they look. They're a bit pricey, but I'm placing a few on my wish list. You see, even when you have a shop, it's good to have a wish list. That word, my favorite word in the world, anticipation.
Poor Lennis is feeling under the weather. I'm making homemade chicken noodle soup. I like to think my chicken soup carries magical healing powers.
I always make it the same way.
Saute onion, celery, and carrot in a mixture of butter and oil until tender. I add a few dried herbs to the vegetable rue. Thyme, Leaf Sage, Parsley, Fresh Cracked Pepper, Smoked Salt, and a Bay Leaf.
After that, pour in quite a bit of chicken broth and toss in a whole chicken, neck and all. I then add more of the same herbs, and a teaspoon of garlic powder. You don't really need garlic powder, but I think it gives the soup a good flavor.
Cook covered over medium heat or until chicken is done. Remove chicken from bone, and cut up into bite size pieces. Continue to cook on stove on low heat.
Add noodles or make dumplings. So easy to make dumplings. Carb city, but oh so comfort food good!
Last, but not least, Mystery Soap. H'm, I wonder what scent is in this soap? The last of the 2017 soap lots.
It's a good thing.
Keep the faith.
