I spent the week getting our store ready for the arrival of our holiday assortments. I need to make room for the artisan collections and new items as I make and build our holiday inventory. Like the rest of the year so far, the holidays seem to be arriving at warp speed! Since covid, our store has encountered an assortment of twists and turns and I've felt like each new day brings with her unexpected surprises. In between, life seems to move on, but the days are not at all what they once were. I am learning to take one day at a time and to be thankful.
The holidays are a special time for Bittersweet, but they're also fast-paced! Beginning in October, each hour of my day is filled with manufacturing and planning for the upcoming season. Then it feels as though once it arrives it's over in a blink of an eye!
This year and since we've been forced to reduce our hours with covid, our store is open twenty-five more days before Christmas! That seems unreal to even say that! However, it is true and I'm learning to embrace each day by marking off to-do lists and wrapping up the final ideas on packaging and store displays. Deadlines are met at the last moment and plans change at the drop of a hat.
I'm closing the store this week to complete holiday manufacturing and get a jump on things. I'll be making and bringing back some popular Bittersweets that will only be available during the holiday season.
The final touches are being put in place for our holiday packaging, and then I will begin wrapping all that soap!
We are stocking up and making plans to keep our inventory well managed.
The magic is coming!
