When I reflect on why Bittersweet creates most of its shop inventory, I’m reminded of the importance of using clean skincare on my own skin. My journey into making pure skincare essentials was born from personal needs and a desire for quality ingredients. In a world filled with countless skincare brands, knowing how products are made and what goes into them is essential. Because we craft so many different items, some are limited editions and may not return. As a one-woman maker, I focus on what resonates with our customers—if a new product doesn’t fly off the shelves, it’s unlikely to become a staple in our shop. It doesn’t happen often, but if something isn’t flying off the shelves, we’ll pull it. The same mindset applies to the books I write—each one is rooted in strong beliefs and a simple lifestyle. For example, my love for cooking inspired me to write a cookbook. Everything I create, whether skincare or words on a page, comes from a place of passion and purpose. Our limited outsourcing in our handmade shop aligns with our steadfast beliefs. We take pride in offering products that are truly unique, steering clear of what everyone else has. Originality hums a tune of satisfaction that simply feels right.
Nowadays, manufacturing is busier than ever. Since we handcraft our products, it's important to remember—every item is made by us, with care and intention! Although those thoughts might be redundant if you're a regular customer, if you're new to Bittersweet you might not be aware of how we roll. Not a day goes by that I don’t recognize and appreciate that. This soap-making journey, which has been a part of my life for so long, still holds a deep place in my heart. But beyond the craft itself, it’s the people—the connections, kindness, and shared moments—that make this path even more meaningful.

Speaking of our new perfumes—I’m thrilled with the amazing response they’re receiving! It’s always exciting to see a new creation become a customer favorite.
We posted a poll on our social media asking for your help in choosing our Spring into Summer Jeans. It looks like No. 2 received the most votes. We love the style and believe that the mid-rise flair is flattering on every body type. When it comes to jeans, you can't always say that, and we're paying special attention to that thought.
